My name is Ethan Kawahara and I am a member of Boy Scout Troop 75 from Los Altos. To reach the highest rank in Boy Scouts each scout must complete an Eagle Scout Project which is when you create something that is beneficial to the community.  The problem that I am trying to solve is the issue that many elderly in our community currently feel lonely, scared, and bored. They are also at risk if they go shopping for groceries. We will raise a total of $1,500. My project will create 500 care packages for the elderly in San Jose. The packages will include things such as dried tissues, candy, masks, sanitizer, games, and special handwritten notes from the scout troop. We will partner with volunteers from the non-profit called Peninsula Food Runners, to deliver the care packages to the seniors.
